First post after 2 years // 141:366

It's my very first post after 2 years, and honestly I'm not sure where should I start or how should I start.

I think I'm going to just blog about the few unforgettable moments that happened in 2019 till date. At the same time, I will also be uploading more recent photos, so do take a look if you want to kpo my life & face ahahahah. I know most of ya'll are more interested in Baby Xania instead, I'll try to include more of her in :')

Xianghong & I FINALLY got married on this day, after waiting for months. It honestly felt like a dream come true because, the very first time we dated, I wanted to marry him HAHAHA but things happened in between and got my heart broken so many times. BUT HEY, what's meant to be, will be right? I'm glad we eventually found each other again, and this time, I know he really meant his words. 

So funny, we both teared up and ALMOST cried while saying our vows, and it was one of the most touching moment I had with XH. I can't believe I married this man, the one I always have a soft spot for, the one who always breaks my heart yet I still love so deeply. Urgh.

A frienemy of mine, who is also one of my close friends now, Phyllis, insisted on coming for our ROM, and omg I'm glad she did. She helped us captured all the happy moments that we had that day, and if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have any nice photos to look back on. 😍 Thanks babe!

The day little princess, Xania Tong, was welcomed to this world. It was such an indescribable day and the feelings i felt was so surreal. Up till now, I still can remember the pain and the "heart melt" moment when I held her the very first time. She was SO TINY.

She was definitely the best baby in the ward EVER. Every other babies were crying and making noises every few hours, but Xania didn't!!! She was just sleeping on me the entire time, and when she's awake & hungry, she would make some noise, but when I assured her to give me just 3 minutes to eat finish my meal, she really did wait. I was super amazed by her!

Pregnancy was smooth sailing, so was handling her the first few weeks & months! She was really good and easy to handle. The only issue was her being too overly attached to me. She knows whenever I walk away, put her down, or go somewhere. Such a smart girl :')

I started my microbusiness journey on this day, and it is something I will never regret! Pregnancy and giving birth, did affect my body and I was so insecure and upset about it. I became a size L, small L, and I couldn't fit into ANY of my bottoms, and I had to buy new clothes. Chanced upon a slimming gel, Soslim, previously and tried it, and IT WORKS SO DAMN WELL on me, and when I saw their recruitment postings, I wanted to give it a try. I was super scared as I am not a risk taker, especially when it comes to money. Those who knows me well, knows I'm very aunty and won't risk my money in any way, even gambling. I asked xh if I should give it a try, and he was telling me how $500 to start a business is actually pretty low and why not. I told him I'm scared of this and that, mainly stocks stuck and alot of "what if"s and I remembered his reply so clearly. "If everything also scared, then don't do and think anything at all." So straightforward but I needed it, because that was what pushed me to give it a try. I was damn happy because I can share the product that I really love while earning money??? WHY NOT. Not going to elaborate more because my IG stories says it all, so moving on!

Had my very first birthday as a mama, and it felt SO GOOD. Motherhood has been great for me, and I love how precious Xania is!! First birthday with a family of my own. Babe (xh) borrowed his friend's car so that he can drive us around. We went to eat Shake Shack @ Jewel Changi but we both felt that it's abit overrated.... If I didn't remember wrongly, our verdict was like 4.5/5.5 out of 10, not something worth queuing for HOURS. Luckily we didn't queue too long, we queued for about 5-10 minutes only, so it wasn't that bad. If we queued for hours, our ratings would have been lower!

After eating, we went to Tampines IKEA to take a walk! Had our own 二人世界 time while walking around IKEA, chatting while enjoying the moment. It was really simple and I love it. We then moved on to ECP, to catch the sunset, but sadly there wasn't any sunset that day so we left.

We didn't really know what to do, and it was so sian, not because we're not enjoying ourselves, but because we didn't know where to go, even though we had a car. Whenever we don't have a car, we will always have somewhere we want to go and some places we want to visit. In the end, I made him drive us to Bugis so that I can go "window shopping" at Bugis Street hehe. With all the driving, I actually had motion sickness so we went back shortly after shopping. Enjoyed myself even though it was really simple! I love spending time with babe, and of course lil Xania too.

Held Xania's first birthday and naughty Xania was SO CRANKY the entire day! Most of her photos didn't really turn out nice because she was crying and grumbling most of the time. So many of our friends came and I was so happy, it felt like my birthday instead LOL. Technically it can be, since Xania doesn't have friends at such age yet so... Had a great catch up with some of my friends and even though I didn't manage to catch up with ALL but at least I managed to see them that day, after so long! Even though motherhood has been great, but it did affect my social life a little. Xania received so many cute presents and it was so much, we almost couldn't bring home! Thanks to Phyllis, XiaoFang, Michael & Thiam for the help!

20 May 2020 aka Today

Nothing much happened this year due to Covid-19.. If you realised, we spent almost half the year doing NOTHING, except staying at home. Okay, actually if you're one of those who discovered new talent during this CB period, then good! At least, you didn't really do nothing. It's sad because everyone's income is affected. I didn't turn into a masterchef, a fitness guru, a tiktoker etc, but I did try some of the trends and tried to jump on the bandwagon hahahhaa but overall, nah, I was just being a sloth at home, most of the time, doing my mummy duties while managing my microbusiness (& lazing). Neither did I find myself a new talent, so... I guess CB has been super unproductive for me.

Today is 20th May, which is sort of a couple date because 520 stands for I love you in Chinese (我爱你). It doesn't stand for it, but it sounds like it, and people do use numeric terms to communicate in Chinese. Saw Lixuan's IG Story about Daniel, her boyfriend, transferring her $520 to show his love and appreciation, so I decided to hint xh too. I honestly didn't expect anything la, because all along 20 May doesn't mean anything to us, it's just a day for us, but I just wanted to disturb and joke around. He's working night shift today, so after he left house, HE REALLY DID TRANSFER ME MONEY. Not $520 but $524 because 我爱死你, so sweet hahahahah to be honest, even if it was just $52.40 or $5.24 i would find it really sweet because it's really the little things that mattered. The thoughts were there.

Our relationship, only my close friends will know, it hasn't been smooth sailing all the time. Both xh and I are so different, we are like two worlds apart, and up till now, sometimes I still think that we're incompatible. I would always ask myself, does love really conquers all? I don't know, only time will tell. I'm the happiest with him, but he makes me the saddest too. I guess that's love, right? haha.

Here's a short write up about Xania's growth:

• she was growing really quick. At her 3rd month, she could do many things that a 5th month old would do. Even the doctor commented that she's fast!
• she could sit around her 3rd-4th month, not stable though, but it's a great progress!!!
• also, at that period, she also tried to "walk"! super cute. not on the floor, but "climbing/walking" up our body
• around her 5th/6th month, she could clap, and have been trying to stand
• had her first 2 teeth around her 9th month
• at her 9th month, she was able to call me MAMA and it was the cutest thing ever!!!!!

let me talk more about this cutie calling me mama okay HAHAH. So during that period, mama was the only thing she knew. Whenever she wants something, she'll just "mama!" which is damn cute??? The way she calls "Mama!" will really melt your heart.... And there was once, I remembered it so vividly. I was out for Mac breakfast with Pamela, and I went to wash my hands, the moment I stood up and walk away, she just kept shouting for me "Mama mama mama mama" and the people around us were just looking at us but of course in a "aww so cute" way. When she calls "mama" it really makes me damn happy??? Sometimes when I'm away for too long, she'll cry for me instead. 😍😢

Okay, back to her progress:

• started to walk around her 10th/11th month - not on her own, but with assistance. She would want us to hold her to walk instead of her crawling
• she has a habit to sleep with me, without me, she CANNOT sleep at all
• her bed time is around 10pm on average, sometimes she sleeps at 8-9pm, sometimes 12-1am
• not sure where she learn it from, but she knows what is "orh hor" and would even do the finger shake, she also knows what is no no
• on 3rd April, she was able to walk on her own, with confidence 👏🏼
• towards her 14th month, she could pronounce "mama" "nen nen" (milk), "baba" & "nainai" too!!! but as time passed, as of now, she literally forgot how to say "mama" and I'M DAMN SAD??? Now everything to her is "baba", and she can't seem to know how to pronounce "mama" anymore....
• she can do hand signal to tell us what she wants, e.g baby shark, wheel on the bus
• there's more, and if you follow my IG stories, you should know most of them already!
